Carmen has her bachelors degree in finance from the University of South Florida and is both a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Certified Fraud Examiner. By day, Carmen is a Senior FX Onboarding Assistant Vice President at a Private Bank in NYC. Prior to her current role, she has worked other Wall Street firms such as Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs. By night, Carmen manages MakeRealCents.com, a personal finance platform dedicated to helping people achieve financial independence. In 2016, Carmen started a journey towards becoming debt free and has paid off approximately 57k of debt in two and a half years. Carmen officially became debt free in Sep 2018 and currently helps others with their journey through her financial coaching business.
